About

Aleksander R. Rødner

Born in Norway, I consider myself a citizen of this world, and many others, such as Krynn, Middle earth and ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha. I spend a lot of time reading books, listening to music and playing role playing games, as well as many other games.

Professionally, I’m a certified MCP and MCDST. I work 1st and 2nd tier support and service for a major Norwegian in-house IT department. I’ve been blogging since 2005, and converted my original blog to a technical blog in the beginning of 2008. In addition to this blog, I’ve got a personal blog and a gaming blog, as well as two I share with my absolutely amazing girlfriend.

I’ve got a profile at LinkedIn. Being an avid amateur photographer, you can find what I consider to be my best shots at Flickr.

This Blog

I’ve been blogging on and off for many years now. This blog is dedicated to all things technical that I think I might someday need, which is why many of the posts only belong together because I say they do. Examples of this are this post on Importing Facebook Events, this one on choosing an ebook reader and this post on choosing the platform for my new phone.

Most of the posts on this blog have come in handy at least once, a few of them several times. This blog is partly where I dump (more or less) clever fixes, solutions and their like, and partly one of the ways I try to better myself as a writer. None of these posts are going to be the next GAN (Great American Novel), but I do try to keep things more narrative than strictly necessary.

I hope you continue to follow this blog, and that you leave a comment whenever you want me to clarify something.
