#BTS: Sevens in order

7 + 7 / 7+ 7 * 7 – 7

That done with, we go on to the solution to last week’s puzzle:

Last week, we had a puzzle involving orders of operations.  I’m sure you’ve learned some variation of the PEMDAS-mnemonic (Parenthesis and Exponents, Multiplications and Divisions, Additions and Subtractions), and if you keep it in mind, the solution is quite simple. As there are neither parentheses nor exponents, we move right along. We multiply one with zero, resulting in zero. We then add all of the numbers together. The final calculation looks like this: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 0 + 1, which of course equals twelve.
