Do you 10Q?

Two years ago, an acquaintance posted about 10Q. Simply put, once you’ve registered, the site sends you a question per day over the course of ten days. At the end of the period, your answers are locked in the vault, and inaccessible for a whole year. A year later, your vault is unlocked, and you are presented with another question per day for ten days.

According to the FAQ, the inspiration for the site, as well as the dates on which you get to answer the questions, are the ten days of reflection and repentance between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kipur, which certainly explains why I took to the concept two years ago. Last year, when I got my answers in an email, I was able to take a moment to remember and reflect on the year that those pertained to.

That, in turn, put me in the right frame of mind to answer last year’s questions. When I received an email telling me that there would be supplemental questions this year – asking specifically about CoViD-19 – I once again remembered the site, remembered how it got me to feel, and got excited for this year’s iteration.

Do with this what you will. Register and answer the questions, or not. All I can tell you is that I have derived enjoyment, reflection, and happiness through the practice. This year will be the third year I do it, establishing the tradition.
