I recently learned of a nifty little trick for users of Google’s Workspace services (i,e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms etc.): You can start a new document, spreadsheet, slide deck and so on from the address bar of your web browser. Simply enter the appropriate command (below) into the address bar, hit return, and watch as it unfolds:

doc.new,docs.new - Google Sheets:
sheet.new,sheets.new - Google Slides:
slide.new,slides.new - Google Meet:
meet.new - Google Forms:
form.new,forms.new - Google Keep:
keep.new - Google Calendar:
cal.new - Google Sites:
site.new,sites.new
The way this is accomplished is that these URLs resolve to their respective services and trigger a new document, spreadsheet and so on.
